1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
3 cups oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 ½ cups flour
2 T. cinnamon
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, soda, vanilla, salt, cinnamon. Mix. Add flour. Stir. Add oats. Drop by teaspoonfuls. Bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes.
Yields: 6 dozen cookies.
