Snickerdoodles

Mix thoroughly:
2 cups soft shortening (part butter)
3 cups sugar
4 eggs

Sift together and stir in:
5 1/2 cups flour
4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Heat oven to 400.

Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
Roll in mixture of 2 T. sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake until lightly browned, but still soft.
Bake 8-10 minutes.
